In my blog I always wished to talk about innovations which make our life simple. But I hardly got interest in writing the innovations which actually make our life monotonous and more confusing.
Today I found one interesting article on how innovations would make daily life needs simple and joyful. But these innovations still in discussion stage.
Do you ever thought about buying the products and paying the bills through your sweet heart mobile ?. If you are in depression then it can be detected by the voice tone. All these things possible by the software which would be implemented in mobiles in near future.

These discussions were under gone at MIT’s first-ever emerging technologies conference in Delhi.

Software to translate video games and other softwares into different languages

From North Carolina State University researchers came up with a software tool for easier and faster translating video games and other software into different languages for use in various international markets.

The research was supported in part by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Army Research Office. The research will be presented in May at the International Conference on Software Engineering in Vancouver, Canada, and will also be published in the proceedings of the conference.

Through this software tool a major hurdle in translating the thousands of lines of coding time can be saved. Programmers have to be sure they are not replacing code that necessitates how the application/program really works.

But through this software tool discovers those pieces of software code that are designed to appear on-screen and communicate with the user such as menu items, as opposed to those pieces of code that order how the program really operates. When those "on-screen" pieces of code have been identified, the programmers can translate them into the applicable language, like translating the tabs on a toolbar from English into Chinese.

N97 Loaded With Skype Calling Software

Skype application VOIP will be loaded in Nokia's N97 smartphone before shipping. Application allow user send messages , make voice calls. Also user can choose it as a widget through they can view which friend is online.
Application is incorporated into address book of the phone, and its made easy to call through Skype username as to their phone number.
N97 smartphone runs Nokia's S60 software platform. Initially Skype application particularly for N97 and will not be available for other S60 phones.

Software To Track Mobile Users Launched by Google

Now its possible to track mobile users by their family and friends. Google Inc launched the software on Wednesday, through which mobile users can connect to their family and friends and inform them their whereabouts.

It allows users to control their identity and location for their specified family members and friends. And more thing whenever we want can go offline.

On Google Blog they said its possible to control who wants to see and decide the location allow to see.
Through this software people can track their friends whereabouts on Google map, handset and from pc.

This service is similar to the service offered by privately-held Loopt

Now students can get the computers at about Rs 500

Its good news for students who are interested to learn and gain more knowledge through computer enabled education. Now might be within a 6 months for just Rs 600 (USD 10) low cost computers available for those who want to learn from home on each subject.
Government initiating this great facility to make available for every family.

Technology for these small devices has been developed by IISC, Bangalore and IIT Madras. "But lot of testing has to be done to ensure that the technology works properly. Once the testing is over, the computers will be made available on commercial basis. The target is to make it available in six months time," Higher Education Secretary, Ministry of HRD, R P Agrawal said reporters in New Delhi on Thursday.

The computer will be a small device which supports expandable memory, Wi Fi and LAN facility. The e-content on every subject will be provided by government for free of cost .

A prototype computer has been designed which is being tested now. "Its cost will be USD 10. If the parents want to gift something to their kids, they can easily purchase this item and gift them," he said.

Students can get the e-content feed and load them in their computers and take advantage of the materials. The government will provide these computers to educational institutions at a subsidised price, Agrawal said.

The government is in the process of consultation with different agencies for production of these computers and are seeking collaboration with them. These computers can run at two WT power. "The ultimate target is to have a Virtual Technological University," Agrawal said.

The low-cost computers are being developed under the central scheme -- National Mission on Education through Information Communication Technology (ICT).

Save money and tree by reducing Computer power consumption

If you doesn't like to turn off your computer simply because you don't want to wait for the start up process. Then good option is to use the Power Options that a computer offers.

It is better to set up power options according to your needs and most recommanded set up is using the stand by or hibernate mode. If it is possible try to turnoff the monitor after every 15 or 30 minutes.

Stand By will use less power and when you are ready to continue working, it won't take long to startup again. This is recommended for your short breaks from work.
